I hope everyone had a lovely (and filling) Thanksgiving! I know I earned my workouts this weekend!
My sister came in from the city for the holiday so I stole her for a little while to help me shoot some photos. Make sure you check out her blog Black In Bloom! It was so gloomy out this past weekend, but we tried to make the best of it. We recruited our younger cousin to take the last photo of us. Future blogger? I was so happy to spend the afternoon with some family even it was in a furniture store with zip lining. Such a genius idea if you ask me! The dinner together, a few card games, and tons of laughs was worth it.
I’ve had a week off from working so it felt nice to actually get dressed..whoops.. I chose my go-to staples in my closet this fall: a cable knit sweater, jeans, and booties. Cozy, classic, and super comfy. My bag was a splurge buy for myself, a “I NEED that bag!” moment for sure. And bonus: you can emboss it with any letter(s) of your choice. In love!
Weekends go by so fast, I definitely tried to savor every moment before going back to reality. Hopefully you were all able to get some rest, enjoy Christmas decorating, or whatever else makes your souls happy.
Have a wonderful week, friends!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is this week?! A lot of my friends and family go crazy over Black Friday shopping. Me on the other hand, would rather stay in my PJs, relax, and recoup from my turkey coma!
Lately, I’ve been living on Etsy finding the cutest gifts for my family. So I wanted to share some of the small businesses, local and online, that are my current favorites for holiday shopping before Small Business Saturday. Here we go!
Mulberry Press Co.: I randomly found Mulberry Press Co. on Instagram while aimlessly scrolling. I am so glad I did! This company works to get positive messages out into the world through clothing and home goods. If you know me, you know I love positive messages/inspiration because there just isn’t enough of that in the world today. I personally love their tees (so soft and cozy!) and their mugs.
2. Sweet and Spark: This one is for vintage lovers. I stumbled upon Sweet and Spark after seeing Julia from Gal Meets Glam wearing a few pieces. I love this company because it brings together a father and daughter and there is nothing more important than family! Check out their story here. It will warm your heart!
3. Salt Shop and Press: This shop is local here in Connecticut in my favorite town of Mystic. They have a lot of prints and home goods that are so adorable. And the best part, to me, is the costal theme. I have yet to visit (it’s on my list!) but you can follow them along on their Instagram to keep up with all of their events and arrivals.
4. Made Au Gold: This Etsy shop is currently one of my favorites. Lea, the shop owner, is from France and is probably the sweetest. I recently got a print from her to complete my gallery wall above my desk and was so pleased with it. The best part? She makes prints for kids, kitchens, and everything in between. Definitely check out her Etsy shop and follow her here!
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday this week! Don’t forget to shop small on the 26th. After all, the holidays are about giving back, being grateful, and supporting one another. We could definitely use a lot of that lately!
